Private Secondary Schools in Harare

Secondary education with purpose

Secondary school is where a child becomes a young adult. Families choosing among private secondary schools in Harare want a school that will stretch a learner academically while steadying them through the teenage years, and that is the balance we work hard to keep.

From Form 1 to A Level, Advent Hope Academy pairs a demanding academic programme with firm discipline, structured boarding where needed, and constant encouragement. Learners leave us ready for university, college or the world of work.

Two pathways, one standard

We run two secondary pathways under one roof. Our Zimsec day centre in the heart of Harare's CBD serves families who want the national curriculum in a disciplined city setting, while our Cambridge boarding programme prepares learners for IGCSE and A Level in a full-time, structured environment.

Because both pathways share the same teaching staff, ethos and standards, families can choose the route that fits their child and budget without choosing a lesser education.

• Zimsec day centre in Harare's CBD
• Cambridge boarding from junior through senior years
• Science, commercial and humanities subject streams
• Sport, culture and leadership alongside academics

Beyond the classroom

Advent Hope learners compete in soccer, volleyball and other sports, take part in cultural performances and exhibitions, and are given real responsibilities that build leadership. We believe a secondary school should graduate whole people, not just examination candidates.
