Private Primary Schools in Harare

The early years that shape everything

Parents comparing private primary schools in Harare know how much rides on these years. A child who learns to read confidently, work steadily and treat others kindly in the primary years carries those habits into secondary school and beyond.

At Advent Hope Junior our teachers combine high expectations with genuine warmth. Classes are small enough that no child disappears at the back, and every learner's progress is watched and celebrated.

Learning that builds strong foundations

Our junior curriculum follows the Cambridge-aligned learning areas, taught through a Zimbabwean lens so children understand their own country while gaining an international standard. Literacy and numeracy come first, but art, sport, culture and Christian guidance are woven through every week.

Older junior learners are prepared for the transition into secondary school, whether they continue with us in our boarding or day programmes or move on elsewhere.

• Cambridge-aligned learning areas taught by caring teachers
• Strong emphasis on reading, writing and numeracy
• Junior boarding available for families who need it
• Christian values and guidance woven into school life

A safe, nurturing environment

Young children learn best where they feel safe. Advent Hope Junior offers a secure campus, a structured day, and teachers who model the patience and kindness we hope to see in our learners. Parents are kept close to their child's progress through regular communication with staff.
